La Isla del Júcar

In the Aguas Vivas Valey, surrounded by orange groves, among mountains and a few kilometers from the Spanish Mediterranean Sea, La Barraca de Aguas Vivas is located, a small Valencian town where tranquility can be felt in all its streets.

In one of its streets is La Isla del Júcar, exclusive rural accommodation, ideally located just minutes from cities loaded with history and traditions such as Alzira, Xativa and Gandía, the beaches of Cullera, Tavernes and Xeraco and only half an hour driving from the city of Valencia (Spain).

The house, located a few meters from the town hall, dates from the beginning of the 20th century, having been completely renovated and equipped with all the current, aesthetic and functional elements necessary to provide us with a comfortable and pleasant vacation or weekend stay.

Together with our couple, family and/or friends, we can cook a paella or a barbecue, take a bath in the pool, sun in the solarium and end the day taking a relaxing bubble bath or reading, listening to music and/or chatting with a drink in your chill-out relax zone.

If we feel like going out, we will enjoy the rich Mediterranean gastronomy and the surrounding natural and scenic environment, taking walks or biking on the Via Verde recently enabled in several sections and that runs along the old Carcaixent-Denia train path.

Among the numerous hiking trails that cross La Barraca de Aguas Vivas is located in the so-called Ruta de los Monaterios that links five of these monuments and whose itinerary runs through ancient historical paths of medieval origin and constitutes an experience of high cultural value that transports us several centuries ago.

Playing golf at the La Galiana Golf Club or enjoying its nearby beaches are other alternatives to the activities we can develop during our stay at La Isla del Júcar.
